Chapter 53

Azeph closed the door behind him in his room and looked up surprised to find a maid standing there looking at him with a smile.

“I am here to serve you, my lord. If there is anything I can help you with,” She smiled as she looked up at him behind his fluttering lashes.

Azeph was a courteous man. He usually tried to never say a mean or harsh word to a woman no matter her standing. Elinor called it affectionately his innate good nature, but he thought that it was his unconscious way of keeping them at bay. Because since he met Elinor, he realized that the way he was treating other women was simply not kindness, it was a gentle refusal.

“Thank you, I won’t be needing you for the moment since I will be resting,” He said

“Would you like me to help you change out of your traveling clothes?” she asked, “I draw a bath for you,” She trailed off her voice a seductive roll.

Azeph wanted to laugh at her attempt. As Will said, he was not a kind man.

The only woman in his mind right then was Elinor
