Louis watched Stella carefully as she turned around to gaze outside the window watching something outside.

Her shoulders were tense and he could feel the anger radiating from her as if they were waves crashing against him. He took a deep breath trying to tamp down his annoyance. Getting high handed with her wouldn’t get him anywhere.

Stella had always been the kind of woman who was capable enough on her own and never seemed to need the support of a man in her life. Unlike Elinor who knew how to use all of the recourses at hand and manipulate the situation to her advantage. Stella had a pride that reached as high as the sky. The kind of pride that would rather self destruct you rather than let you lower your standards.

And that’s what he liked the most in her.

To be honest, it was not fair to compare Stella and Elinor. Elinor has had a harsh education since childhood and her life in the castle shaped her this way, which made her the perfect candidate to become their next queen.
