38. Lana

Lona's POV

Early in the morning, someone knocked on the bedroom door and woke me up. My eyes were closed tightly together, not wanting to open but the one outside kept knocking.

I felt a little resentful.

"Wait for me in the office!" Before I could react, Alpha King spoke up.

He was still holding me tight, one arm outstretched for me to rest my head on. This position definitely made him uncomfortable.

I felt a little guilty, hurriedly wanted to sit up but was stopped by Alpha King.

"Lie still, you slept late last night, you need to rest more and shouldn't have woken up so early." Alpha King said sweetly.

I opened my eyes and looked around, realizing that it was not quite morning.

"Someone called you so early in the morning, what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

I came to my senses. Normally no one would call Alpha King so early, it seems like something important happened.

"It's nothing." Alpha King lightly kissed my hair and then stood up.
