Chapter 11: Bella's attitude

Annie was sitting in the car, Assistant Steve was holding a tablet, watching the video that has just been received. Then he said:

 “Bella, why don't you expose them? Why do you have to take so much time to find out…”

“You know… everything has its price.”-she said.

The car continued to run...But right after that, Annie was attracted by the flickering light. Despite Steve's confusion, she quickly pulled over the car to the side of the road. 

“Wait for me here!."

In the alley, there was a man lying on the dirty ground, his body and clothes emitting a strange smell. A broken camera lay on the cold ground nearby and broken glass was scattered everywhere, reflecting faint rays of light from outside, hitting the wall and the man's face. 

A girl slowly walked in. She did not show her face. The atmosphere around is very gloomy. “Hey… don't be so sneaky! If you want to take photos, why don’t you take them directly?” 

Annie stepped on broken pieces of glass, and the crackling sound resounded.

“No…I...I don’t…” The man trembled.

Annie grabbed his collar, forcing him to look at her directly: 

"Huh? What's wrong? Don't you dare take a picture of my face?". Her eyes scared the man.

“Dare to spy on me? No one is brave enough to do that.”- she continued.

Annie no longer had the serious look of a manager, and a gentle wife when being with Dustin. At this time, her rudeness and defiance appeared.

The man thought he would be punished right here. But she suddenly let him down and smiled: "Tell my husband that if he wants to follow me again, choose someone who is professional.”

Despite the man's surprised gaze, Annie slowly walked out of the alley. The man sitting on the ground, sighed heavily, repeating her words over and over in his head.

My husband…

Follow me…

“Turns out, she already knew about this. Should I report to Mr.Dustin?”-he wondered.

The man got up, went to the broken camera, and wanted to take out the tape. But he quickly knew that there was nothing inside the camera. Finally, the man still decided to report to his boss.

When returning to the car, she immediately received a ton of questions from assistant Steve. She felt too bothered and directly drove back to the company, leaving the assistant there. Annie drove back home, planning to tell her husband that she was coming home.

Anyway, she hasn’t come home for two weeks, what if he didn't give her the divorce? She was very afraid of that.

But after that, she received a call from her parents.

“Hello! I’m here!”- she wore the headphones. 

"My darling!" I haven't been able to call you these days! Don’t you want to see me?”

"I've been too busy these weeks." She answered briefly: "What do you call me for?"

"Ah, your sister's coming home soon. I want you to pick her up at the airport tomorrow.". Then her mom said something to dad.

"The day after tomorrow, when we come back, we really want a cozy party. Our family hasn’t gathered for a very long time…”- she continued.

Annie didn't know that Bella has a younger sister. She doesn't have much information about Bella's family before she married Dustin.

“Yeah, of course, I promise we will have a cozy atmosphere together.”-said Annie.

"So, see you later! We want to plan something..."- said her mom.

“Bye, mom!”

Annie came home, just in time when her husband had just received the message from the stalker.

"Are you back?" Dustin sat on the sofa, his expression was so strange.

Annie did not seem surprised at his attitude. She just smiled: "Yes… You know, I have so many things to do, the company…”

Dustin looked at her face. He was a little bit doubtful.

Bella knew that he tried to follow her, but her reaction was…not right at all.

He was afraid that he would reveal something again, so he quickly went upstairs.

"Ma'am, don't you wonder?"- the butler asked.

“I knew all, there’s nothing to wonder.”

"But his attitude today..." The butler hesitated.

"Is there something strange about my husband's attitude? Wasn’t he always like that?"- Annie took a sip of tea.

Her attitude and actions made the butler and Dustin very surprised. He stood at the stairs, listening to their conversation.

"Is there something strange? Wasn’t he always like that?”

Her words replayed in Dustin’s mind, making him confused…

Dustin thought about all the actions he had done, and the indescribable feelings gradually rose up in his mind.

He picked up the phone to call for the stalker: "You don’t need to follow my wife anymore. Let's wait a few days and I’ll tell you then."
