TESSIE'S POV

Had I been thinking clearly just a few minutes ago, I would have realized what Evan's version of hanging out entailed. It hadn't hit me until he drove to his house, a mini mansion several streets away from my home with two stories.

My mind clicked the moment he turned off the engine and turned to me with a smile.

"Let's go inside," he stated.

"Wait, are we making a quick stop here before going on our date?" I asked looking straight at the front door.

"What are you talking about? I asked you if you wanted to hang out at my house and you said yes."

"No, I didn't."

"Yes you did, right before I started the car outside the Cafe."

"Oh," the word slipped out of my mouth unconsciously. I couldn't remember saying anything like that but then I had a lot going on in my mind. Maybe I had. There was no reason for Evan to lie to me.
