Finding Courage

(Iris POV).

I was famished and tired from so much heat from the sun even though I had to hide under a cloak all through the day. My skin still feel as though I have been literally set on fire.

Logan decided to dump our carriage. According to him, it was slowing us down and needed to go faster thereby putting my life at risk.

Thankfully, it’s completely dark at this point and Logan still doesn’t look like he is about to slow down any time soon.

“Logan?” I called at him and he simply glance at me.

“You to slow down for a bit. It’s already dark and we have been riding all through the day and I figured it would be best to probably rest” I requested with hope that he might say but he refused.

"Why?" I asked him over his shoulders.

"We have to keep moving. I have no doubt we are being trailed right now so can’t delay," he replied and my frown deepen.

What exactly is wrong with this man. I mean, he has literally dragged me through the scorching sun up until this moment without a single remor
