(Morrigan’s P.O.V)

Watching my father, the father who raised me as his own, the man who loved me unconditionally, die triggered inside me a rage I wasn’t expecting. I felt the power flowing through me, something primal…something ancient was rising up.

I drove the blade of my sword into the ground and the earth split, light shining through the ground. Ice spread through the earth, across the field, and encasing the enemy in a cocoon of ice. Like human/zombie popsicles.

I did what Winter suggested and pushed one of the zombies over and the ice shatter into a million pieces along with the zombie. It was dead, again, and I saw its soul escape from its icy prison.
