I was so glad that I was able to manage to get home safely, even though I got drunk and wasted. When we went out of the grand hotel, I thought Jericho would come and beat my ass out because I really had a bad feeling about that incident. And I thought alcohol could help me make myself better, but damn, my head is fucked up.
Fortune seems not in my favor as I couldn't remember Serena's feature. That woman was good at hiding herself.
Buzzing, I saw my cellphone's screen light up.
On a spur of the second, I immediately unlocked the screen. I was expecting it was Jericho. Unknowstobe, it wasn't him.
I looked at the message, and it made me irk.
"Dreanna, you up?"
Even though it's from an unknown sender, nobody has the audacity of irritating me in just a snap of time.
I ignored this guy's message, but eventually, he made his way to call me up. So, my phone keeps ringing and buzzing. Muting my phone didn't help
"Hey," I called him, and he hummed, refusing to look at me. We went back to the parking area while he is checking on me. "Why are you avoiding my stares?" Boldly, I asked. There, I find his eyes locked in mine, and he smirked attractively, saying, "I just want to make sure you are unharmed and get you treated. Are you hurt somewhere? I can't seem to find anything wrong." I find myself giggling at his response, and I flicked his forehead as he flinched, "I am fine. I am not as weak as you can see. Thus, Melissa is weaker than me." Sighing while parking a brow in uncertainty, Reese replied, "I guess you are right about it. Should we continue our topic?" "What was it again? Sorry, I was so distracted by what happened earlier." He admitted, lowering his gaze to my wrist. "It's fine," Shyly, I told him. However, I am unsure if I should find out more about Dreanna. I couldn't shake the feeling of f
I was making my way home, rushing to make some dinner for myself. Yeah, this is just a simple routine that I do daily. I know, it's a boring, pointless life. I've been like this since I was ten.Don't ask me why because life is never been too good for me. I even forgot someone important to me, and the promise we made for each other.*BEEP SHHHInattentive, I suddenly saw a car's light flash through my life while I was running in the crossing lane---I couldn't respond at that time. All I do was stand and watch it reaching for me. That's what happened. I don't know, but I just feel my hands are turning gray and dull."Erina?"I heard someone calling me, but it feels so strange. Her voice is emotional, but it feels empty--- or is it just me?"Erina?"I feel her hands shaking in my skin as mine is freezing.'What happened to me? Am I dreaming? All I see is darkness.'"Erina, please
It's been a week since I got discharged from the hospital. I think I collapse to the fact that 'Aunty Blare' was my mom. Or maybe, I was flooded with heavy, weary thoughts.Even though I am still laying on the bed staring at this empty ceiling, I see a picture inside my head. I don't know what's up to me, but it's like I've been playing with fate.My heart skips a beat when I hear the voices inside my head saying, "This child should rot to death!" Likewise, "I shouldn't have given birth to you."A tear escaped from my eye as I know for a fact that those words are for me. Suddenly, my left ear buzzes, and it kind of hurt me.I clenched my hand as I held my hair, trying to ease myself."I promise I will save you from this stupid place, Dre--." I heard a kid's voice, and I am utterly confused by the context he is saying. Who is this kid referring to? What does he mean? Then, I heard a knock on my door. I turn
It's been hours since I've been stuck in my room, and I am feeling hungry.Unbelievable, it seems that my husband is going to be late tonight. I haven't seen him today, which is annoying! He should have known that I will be coming home today, but he wasn't here to welcome me back home! This is absolutely bulshit!*GROWL*Yes, I know. My stomach is empty. Should I try to call the maid?Honestly, this isn't the first time I let my stomach empty because almost every day I couldn't eat proper food because I live miserably in a cramped place.Huh? What am I blabbering about?Shrugging my head, I release a heavy sigh. Why do I think too much to the point where I do not know my stand.Thankfully, a knock from the door interrupts me from becoming my own enemy."Come in," I said, plainly.I put my hands on my waist, waiting for the person to enter. Later on, the maid enters my room.&n
My escape plan? Ha! Failed!Jericho Arison, huh! His whole existence is a bluff! I don't even feel the sincerity in every ounce of his words.'Erina, I am your husband.' I can't shake that off in my head. Now, this man is keeping me around his fingers, toying with my emotions."Erina?" He called me, and I snap out from spacing out. He pulls me back to the reality that he is dragging me back to our 'home' while holding hands. We arrived at the front door as he keeps his gentleman persona to me. He smoothly lets me inside the house, closing the front door silently."Have you eaten your dinner?" Courteously, he asked. Then, he takes off his black suit and loosens his tie. That's kinda hot!No, no, no! Shit! I shouldn't be thinking about it. I shouldn't be thirsting for this man because he is too suspicious."Erina, you've been spacing out." He said, walking closer towards me. I instinctively bac
Time flies so fast for sure because it's been three days since that 'incident' and my husband didn't dare to kick Celci out of the house. Instead, he told me to give her a chance. The audacity!"Tsk!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*KNOCK KNOCK*I heard someone knocking on my door, and I told the person to come in.Surprise! Surprise! It's my husband! Why would I be happy with his presence? He insulted me at the dining table."Honey," He sighed, and he sounded regretful. But, my ass is tired of him."Don't call me that, dumbass! Leave me alone!" I stomped my right foot on the ground, clenching my hands. This man didn't seem to like my treatment towards him as his brows knitted together."What do you want?" I shrugged, putting my hands around my waist, giving a fiery glare.Flinching, Jericho looks around in panic before giving me a reply, "Can't you give Celci more time? She said she wi
I dashed to my room and started to pack up my things. My heart is thumping inside, and I couldn't remove these tears away from my delicate cheek. I check on my drawers to find something, like evidence. Frankly, this is upsetting as my mind is jelly.Abruptly, I found a cellphone. It's mine, isn't it?Sniffling, I swear. "Shit, shit, Shit!" I hated the feeling that my anger turns into tears.I look up as I wiped my tears away. Unexpectedly, someone barged inside my room without knocking on the door."Honey, are you okay?"When I heard his voice, I instantly dropped my mouth wide open. I bet he sees my eyes widening as he is dazed by the look on my face.Drifting my gaze away, I said. "What brings you here?"Watching him carefully, he sighed as he walks to the sofa to take a seat. Slowly, I hide my phone in my pocket."We should talk. It's been days, Erina. Stop giving me off a cold shoul
I walked outside the mansion. But, holy sh-! The mansion's ground was too huge. I was lost for minutes. It took me several turns to reach the gate. Now I think Jericho prefers to wait for the driver to show up around the corner because it would be too tiring to walk around.Thankfully, I was able to get out without being caught. I wonder how did Celci manage to be working on that mansion.Enough with those thoughts. It's not like I am worried about the people who are unconcerned about me.*TING*I heard a notification pop out of my phone. So, I immediately check on it.'Honey, how are you? I missed you. I am glad you still have my number on your phone. Please be safe! This is your husband's company address xxxxxx and his plate number xxxxx. Can we call?'Licking my lips, I typed on my phone. 'Mom, thank you! But, I can't call you right now. I have something else to do. We can talk about it later?'In an instant, my mo
