Marriage Is Like A Prison

Nina was in ocean of thoughts when door bell rung. She came back almost 2 hours ago but her mind was still at Oscar’s house. She went to open the door and it was her husband, Fernandez.

“Hey, how was day? You seem tired!” Fernandez asked.

“Yes, it was good enough, I went to mall” Nina replied.

“Oh, so what you have got? Fernandez asked

“Nothing, was not able to select anything.” Nina replied

“Oh, waste of day” Fernandez commented.

“Actually, it was best of the day which I can never forget” Nina thought but she could only add “yes it was”

Nina was with her husband who love her but she could still feel Oscar’s whispers in her ears. after spending 10 years with Fernandez, she was feeling uncomfortable at that moment and she really wanted to be with Oscar and this house which she decorated beautifully and in which she spent 10 years of her life was now looking like a prison for her. She was feeling like a bird which was kept in a cage and that bird want to fly. She was in a bed with Fernandez but that was the night in which she was not feeling comfortable with him. Fernandez wanted to interact but she pretended as she has slept and she was totally into the thoughts of Oscar.

Next morning Nina was still sleeping when Fernandez left for work. Nina took shower and got cab and left for Oscar, she wanted to fly to him. Oscar greeted her on the door and their lips got locked, they were passionate.

“Breakfast is ready, Nina” Oscar said while separating his lips.

“I am already having” Nina replied and started kissing again which went for few minutes. They were like some 20 years old desperate lovers. Nina was having no limits and so was Oscar. They took breakfast together.

“Oscar” “I don’t know your future plans and I am afraid if I will be a part of it or not but I don’t know I just want to be with you” Nina said in a confusing tone.

“Nina, I know things are more complicated for you and I assure you what ever you will decide in future I will be with you” Oscar firmly replied.

“Thanks, I just need your support and your unconditional love” Nina stated.

Oscar gave a supportive hug to her and at the same moment her phone rang, it was Fernandez on the other side.

“Hello, what’s going on?” Fernandez asked.

“I am with sara and we are going for shopping” Nina replied.

“What? I just met Sara, she was with her husband and they were going out of town for some event, what is forcing you to lie? Where are you?” Fernandez was angry and shocked.

Nina just disconnected the line abruptly, “oh my God, how I will face him? What excuse I have for telling a lie? Oscar, I have got struck.” Nina was afraid. “I am leaving” she added.

“Wait, let me drop you and don’t worry things will get better and you can cover the mess” Oscar gave her bit of confidence.

“No, I will take a cab, see you later and don’t call, I will call you later” Nina replied and left.

On her way back, she was thinking about how to cover the mess, she never lied to Fernandez and first time she did and it went wrong. She called her friend Fizzy. “Hey, hope you are doing great” Nina was in a rush.

“You tell, how your husband allowed you to talk to me” Fizzy replied.

“Actually, I need your help, I was with Oscar and lied to my husband and if I needed that I will call you to show my husband that I was with you, please help me” Nina requested.

“Oh, don’t worry, I will manage” Fizzy confirmed.

This gave Nina a bit confidence, Fizzy was her best friend but Fernandez never liked her as she had a criminal background and Fernandez never wanted Nina to get involved in anything related to Fizzy as her life was a mess.  When she entered the house, Fernandez was already there waiting for her.

“So, where you were? Why you need to lie? What is going on in your life? are you cheating on me?” Fernandez asked series of questions and he was in great anger.

“What the hell is wrong with you Fernandez? How can you talk to me like that? How can you even think that I can cheat you? Disgusting” Nina shouted. She already made the lines and Fernandez gave her a good chance by blaming her of cheating.

“So, where you were?” Fernandez now asked in low tone.

“I was with Fizzy, she needed some money so I went there to help her, I knew you don’t like her, so I had to lie, but look at you Fernandez, you are showing that you don’t trust me” Nina said in shouting tone.

“I am really sorry Nina, I apologize, it was my mistake” Fernandez apologized.

“I really need fresh air; I don’t want to talk to you at the moment” Nina replied and left the house. She took the cab and went straight to Oscar. She covered it well and even put the whole blame on Fernandez but deep inside she knew she was wrong but at the moment it’s the love which was all over her senses. She got the opportunity to came back to Oscar and she availed it beautifully. When Oscar saw her at the door, it was surprising for him too as he was not expecting that she could come back with an hour after everything that happened.

“Nina, is everything fine? I was not expecting that” Oscar took her into his arms.

“I covered it well, I played it well” Nina smiled. They were into the world of their own. They know they were morally wrong but they were in love and such love they even never felt 10 years ago. They forgot the world and they were just feeling each other, their bodies were together and so were their souls.

“Oscar, I heard you, when you said Marriage is like a jail and really, I am feeling as if my marriage is becoming jail for me” Nina stated.

Oscar replied; “No doubt for me marriage is like a prison but its when you are with the wrong person”
