Caroline hadn't seen Deric lately. Every time she went to the office and returned home, she didn't find him by the lake. Caraline welcomed this at first. However, as time went on, she became suspicious and longed to see him face-to-face.

Like today, Caraline did not find Deric at the lakeside when she returned from work. She waited for a few minutes in the backyard, looking around. However, the man was nowhere to be seen.

"It wouldn't hurt me to take a little walk," Caraline said, tidying up a bit. She walked towards the place where Deric usually exercised at a leisurely pace as she scanned the surroundings. However, he wasn't there either.

"What is Deric doing?" Caraline grunted in annoyance as her body landed on a chair, looking over at the branch Deric used to exercise on. She had intended to call Deric but decided against it. "Deric would think all sorts of things about me."
