Caraline got off the wheelchair step in a hurry, positioning herself half with her back to her two annoying cousins. Her face was contorted in annoyance as her fun was ruined by the sight of their ugly faces.

"I never invited you to this place at all," Caraline said.

"Didn't I tell you the news about me and Wilson coming?" replied Catherine with a faint smile, glancing at Deric.

"You should welcome us, Caraline," Wilson replied with both hands in his pants pockets. The man looked at Deric with a dismissive gaze.

Catherine surveyed the surroundings. "This house is too nice for someone like you."

Caraline smiled slightly when her gaze accidentally met Catherine's. "I know you're just jealous, Catherine. If you wanted a house like this, you could have just whined to your father like you've been doing."

Catherine laughed. "Yes, you're right. My father would be happy to grant all my wishes. Then what about your father? Can he do it?"
