Chapter 4

There was a small light that focused on the man's face so I could study him clearly. I could see his entire handsome appearance from where I was sitting. I couldn’t help but think to myself as I watched the man. I liked him!

My gaze didn’t leave the man as I watched his every movement. How he furrowed his thick and dark brows as he was lost in his deep thoughts. How his beautifully carved lips get moistened as the lingering wine left after he drank his liquor. His Adam's apple’s movement as he swallowed, made me gulp and I felt my throat dry.

I watched his aristocratic features and pointed nose that made him appear to be a God that descended from heaven. He is emitting a Godly aura. His sharp jawline caged those perfectly curved lips. It’s appealing. It’s opulent. Why do I believe that this man could kiss tenderly?

I swallowed hard, not taking my gaze away from the man. I watched his every move as he conversed with the bartender.

“Him . . .” I spoke in a hushed tone. My chest rumbled with nervousness and excitement. I am clueless about how to seduce the guy and afraid that I would make a mistake, but I could die trying. This is my first time liking a man whom I first laid my eyes on.

Zhenesca and Forester laughed a little.

“So, in just a few minutes of staring intently, you had already chosen your bet, huh?” Zhenesca teased. Lips hanging in a lopsided smile.

“We’re not going to stop you, Qyxie. But if this is against your will, please stop. Don’t take this dare seriously, okay? After everything that has happened to you, we only want you to be happy.” Forester poured my glass another shot of tequila, the drink I had grown used to.

I gave my friends a reassuring look and smiled, letting them know that I would be okay, before returning my attention to the man who was still quietly drinking at the bar counter.

“Let’s see, gals. If he deserved my first kiss,” I murmured just enough for the two to hear.

I had given this moment considerable thought. When it comes to the opposite sex, I know my knowledge is limited, but I am determined to give it a shot. I want to learn how to kiss, how to enjoy being with a man, and how to fall in love.

“What are you waiting for? Go ahead,” Zhen urged.

“Let us wait a little longer. That man does not appear to be drunk yet. If he was still in his sober consciousness, I’m afraid he'd kick me out. My plan will then shock to rumbles and I don’t know what to do next,” I admitted innocently.

“Oh my goodness, Qyxiella. You are always doubting yourself, “ Forester delivered a sermon. “Look at yourself. Men are drooling over your luscious body. You are stunning and beautiful, okay? I’m sure that man will never kick you out!”

I swallowed the bitterness of the liquor as it passed through my throat. My friends are correct. I lack confidence in men because my mother raised me to avoid men.

“Are you two certain that that man will like me? With this appearance of mine?” I pucked my lips to point at the man. “Take a look at him. He is undeniably attractive. Even at a distance, his strong  appeal is already enticing. For certain he will only kick me away,” I said flatly before slumping into the lounge. The hundred-level confidence that I felt a while ago has suddenly been depleted.

Zhen shook her head in disbelief at what I had said. She refilled my glass with a margarita. Forester had done it, so I was certain this naughty friend of mine had tampered with the drink with something else.

“Oh, C’mon, Qyxie! You can do it. You just need a lot of this.”

Zhenesca’s persistent urging made me roll my eyes. Zhen would not have been Zhen if she had not been persistent. She was both competitive and yet enticing between the three of us, but she is my good friend, so I believe her.

I took the glass Zhenesca had given me and drank it in one go. I grimaced as the heat and bittersweet taste of the liquor passed down my throat. I stilled for a while and felt the hotness as it traveled to my stomach. I could feel the burning effect of the liquor, but it did make me feel good.

“It’s quite hard but effective for pleasure.”

It surprised me, and I raised my brows because I didn’t understand what Zhenesca was saying.

“Qyxie, just go with the flow. It’s okay if he doesn’t like you. Regardless of how attractive he is, he is not your loss if he doesn’t want you. I’m sure you’ll find a man better than him,” Forester supported her.

Forester is the complete opposite of Zhen. She was the one who kept their friendship in balance. I smiled sparingly before approaching the glass wall to observe the man.

The man was still there, busy getting drunk and unconcerned about the people around him, including the women flirting with him.

I couldn’t understand why my heart was pounding so loudly as I stared at the man. He looked dashing in a black t-shirt under a black leather jacket. His jet-black hair was also a little messy, but it didn’t take away his beauty. I fixed my gaze on him, seemingly mesmerized by every smooth movement of his body.

“Go ahead, Qyxie. I know how much you like him, judging from the way you look at him, as if you’re about to pounce on him. Why don’t you go down and introduce yourself, hmm?” Zhen prodded her.

I drank the last drop of margarita in my glass and prepared to stand. My body wobbled but I quickly regained my balance. I let out a loud sigh to calm and cheer myself up.

“Go, Qyxie. We’re right behind you. We will be here for you!” Zhen grinned. Her eyes were twinkling at something that I couldn’t comprehend.

Forester simply shook her head, staring at the two of us. She was sitting comfortably while sipping her margarita concoction.

After saying goodbye to my two friends, I let out a final sigh and walked down the second floor with my head held high. I ignored the customer’s whistling at the VIP table. I continued down to the ground floor, towards the man at the bar counter. The tremor in my heart was still trembling loudly. This was my first time doing something like this. In this seducing department, I was naive and innocent. I wasn’t sure if I could pull this off.

I bent my body forward slightly to pull down the dress I was wearing, exposing the bulge of my chest as I approached the man. Zhenesca gave me that tip. When I looked up, the man was no longer sitting at the bar counter. My face paled and panic rushed through my beings.

I was immediately perplexed and searched for him quickly. I desired that man. He is the type of man I adore. He can’t leave just like that. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me and why I wanted that man so badly. I frantically looked around the club in search of him.

I finally sighed with relief as I noticed the man walking in the middle of the dance floor, attempting to separate the other dancing club hoppers. His every step was sluggish, indicating that he had already consumed a large amount of alcohol.

I moved quickly toward the man before he vanished from my view. I was only a meter away from him when he suddenly lost his balance. Despite wearing my heels, I quickly closed the gap between us. I grabbed the man’s arm and supported him so he didn’t fall on the filthy floor.

The man’s weight was as heavy as a mountain, but I could keep my balance and we didn’t fall down. When the man turned to face me, his eyes were clouded with annoyance, and he violently waved my hand off, causing me to finally lose my balance. As a result, I collapsed on the icy and filthy dance floor, and my ass crashed when it hit the hard cement.

“Shit!” I cursed. I grimaced as pain assaulted my tailbone until it reached my spine, making me fly with rage.

“That damn brute!”

Those around me simply stared at my sorry state, unconcerned about my being. It pained me to fall on the cold floor, but it hurt even more when the man ignored me while I was only offering help.

Fine! Sometimes help is not free. I do not want to start a fight because I am a calm person. And I had no idea what kind of man he was. But, perhaps, as a result of the alcohol that had been clouding my mind and gaining control, I bravely followed him.

“Damn that brute! So insolent!” I stood up and blew an irritated breath as I ran to the bathroom because this was the path I had seen him walk.

I noticed him washing his hands the moment I entered, but he came to a halt when he heard someone enter. I closed the bathroom door so no one could stop me from confronting the man. I also didn’t mind if I went inside the men’s restroom. This place was my domain. I am free to do whatever I please when I am in my territory. And that includes confronting the man inside the locked bathroom.

My friends had the key, by the way. And the clubbers can go to the bathroom on the second floor.

Even though I am still annoyed, I tried to calm myself as I stepped closer to the man who remained standing in front of the mirror.

But suddenly, the man turned around and started to speak.

“Hmm ... I think you entered the wrong toilet, miss,” he said smoothly while looking at me intently.

When I heard his baritone voice, which sounded like a piece of soothing music, I wanted to close my eyes and felt it deep in me. But I quickly resisted that enticing feeling and replaced it with irritation, not forgetting the reason why I followed him. I took a step and closed the gap between us and slapped him hard, much to his surprise.

“You arrogant, insolent man!” I screamed.

But my slap seemed to have no effect because the man’s lustful gaze was drawn to my chest. My pupils constricted. This time, I delivered another powerful blow into the man’s face, not caring whether he would get hurt or not.

“You pervert! Stop looking at my chest!” I gritted my teeth in annoyance, but deep inside me, there was someone screaming that I liked it. I like how the man looked at me as if wanting to pounce on me, like how I felt for him. My hands curled up into tight fists while looking furiously at the man.

“What is your problem, lady? Why did you barge into the man’s bathroom and slap and call me a pervert? As soon as you walked into this bathroom, you should have known that it was a men’s toilet, so it is your fault for becoming prey for a lion to feast on!” His voice is heavy, and his face is darkening, but I am not afraid.

The man’s dark face made no impression on me. The alcohol gave me the confidence to confront him alone.

“The nerve of you to ask me, you insolent man!” I was about to slap him again when the man blocked my hand and held it tightly.

“I have enough of you calling me insolent!”

In an instant, the man pulled me into a cubicle. I tried to flee and fight him, but he was far too strong. Furthermore, my body is becoming wanton due to the man’s odor of a mixture of alcohol and perfume. It invades every speck of my sanity, turning me into a wanton woman.

Even though my heart was pounding loudly, I didn’t do anything because I was losing my annoyance with the closeness of our bodies.

Inhaling his scent was like a drug to me. So when he lowered his head to kiss me— the second time — I was unable to protest.

I am unsure if I was kissing him correctly, but I responded to his every movement. I mind my lack of kissing experience because I was afraid the man would leave me if he discovered that I didn’t know how to kiss!

I moaned as the man’s hand traveled to my womanhood and caressed it slowly. When he began to insert his fingers into my folds, my head fell back, and I screamed in pain and pleasure. I had no remorse until I offered my most cherished femininity. So, when the man invited me to the nearest hotel where he was staying, I gladly accepted.
