Nine: Poison

INEZ'S POV.

As I slowly opened my eyes, my heart racing with confusion and fear, I couldn't help but notice that I was no longer in the dungeon.

The first thing that caught my eye was the room's stark white walls, almost blinding in their cleanliness. The floor was a polished marble that shone like a mirror, reflecting the bright overhead lights.

There was a large window on one wall that allowed the sunlight to stream in, and the curtains were drawn aside, letting me see the outside world.

The room itself was much larger than any of the cells I had been kept in before. There was a large bed in the center, with crisp white sheets that seemed to have been ironed to perfection.

A small nightstand was next to the bed, with a vase of freshly cut flowers sitting on top. Across from the bed was a row of cabinets and shelves, all of which were filled with medical supplies, neatly arranged and labeled.
