Chapter 25

Michael.

My car door was opened and I thanked the driver before stepping out of it. Unlike the low temperatures of the past few weeks, today was a pretty warm day. The sun was bright with a few clouds to threaten it's shine and that was somehow a perfect description of my mood.

Closing the door, I walked into the building - accepting and returning the greetings around me. I had slept around 2 a.m in the morning but I didn't feel exhausted. After reading every letter and looking at every picture in the box that Mom gave me, I began to do some work.

Just as Mom said, that box contained things that she wanted to tell me but couldn't. Most of them talked about how much she missed Gabriel and I or how much she wished that we could forgive her. Short narrations of her day with some pictures to remember them. Some of those letters dated as back as when I was fifteen and I came to realise that my mother was a very lonely woman.
