60: COINCIDENTAL MEETING

The ambiguous moment between the two was disrupted when the waiter returned with their wine. The couple had no choice but to pull apart, Simon returning to his seat and Alvira blushed with embarrassment in a way that made Simon amused and caused him to smile at her sweetly.

Soon they clinked their glasses, drank their wine, and ordered their meal while enjoying each other’s company like that of couples on a real date. They didn’t talk much. In fact, they were silent most of the time, just occasionally stealing glances at each other as they ate, but the silence wasn't awkward, rather it was pleasant and comforting. Like they didn’t need to say anything at all.

Soon the date came to an end faster than either of them would have liked but they both didn’t say anything. While they waited for the bill, Alvira took the opportunity to stand by the glass plane and have a full view of the lake below.
