I'm So Sorry

Come on! Where did all that fire in me go? I melted under his cold gaze as he let go of my hand.

"Em um I'm-"

"Sorry, I don't understand gibberish," Lance said. Why wouldn't I sound like that when he was shirtless and his scent did stupid things to me.

"It's just that I wanted to go home for a few minutes and talk with my sister."

I finally got the words out but that sounded more like I was taking permission. I wanted to demand it.
