Making The Headline I

The "usual place" Noah was talking about was a bar with a lodge. That was our usual meeting place when we were still courting. That place was secured and free from the eyes of the reporters because nobody could ever imagine that a public figure could visit somewhere like that.

When I stepped into the bar, memories swarmed into my head and tears subconsciously dripped out of my eyes.

I quickly cleaned it, adjusted my dress, and majestically walked in.

Noah waved to indicate where he was sitting as soon as I got inside.

"Here!" He muttered, smiling.

I rolled my eyes at the hypocritical smile but didn't let it show that I was mocking him inwardly.

"Thank you for honoring my text. I never knew you would come," He said, bringing out a seat for me and I sat.

I didn't know I would come too but the devilish idea I had on my mind pushed me here, " I responded in my head.
