Dread mixed with regret filled the pit of my stomach when I read the contents of the letter that Aubrey wrote.

"Dear, Mr. Knight, it's with deep regret that I write this note to you. Staying with you has been a wonderful experience and I wish that it could continue but due to reasons best known to you, we are finally apart. I want you to know that I regret uttering those words to you. It was because I was afraid to let you make decisions for me. I wish you all the best.” Love- Aubrey.

It wasn't that long but I felt the emotion in the note she wrote and my wolf howled inside of me, berating me for allowing his mate to go away when I could stop it. He wanted to see his mate. He gnawed at the back of my skull trying, but I fought against him. when he saw that he didn't win, he howled in my head and whispered despicable of me. I didn't reply him because he had every right to.
