Are You Ready?

Aubrey's POV

We shuffled down the flight of stairs in a hurry to get into Mr. Drew, our history lecturer's class. I wouldn't have been in this situation if not for surfing the net till midnight, which threw me into this dilemma.

" Hey." Alexis waved at me when I entered the class. Surprisingly, the class was half full. Weren't students ready for the day?

" Where is everyone?" I asked.

Alexis wore a smirk on her face and "April Fool's Day!" She shouted.

I swung my bag at her, " Are you kidding me? You told me to hurry because of April Fool?" I muttered.

She choked on her laughter as her eyes crinkled in mischief, "I'm sorry." She whispered.

" No, you are not," I replied rolled my eyes, and sat beside her. " Is there even a class today?"

" Yeah, but it starts at noon. I wanted you to be here early. I heard that we might be having some tests later today, and you need to read." She laughed.

I took a glance at my watch, we had four hours more. " I am famished, I'll be at the cafeteria
