There had been very few times in our contract marriage that I had managed to make Kian completely speechless and I guess I could add this to the list. I stepped in and my inhibitions lowered because of my curiosity as I asked him who was on the other side of the line and he remained in that post perfectly, not moving a single inch so much that you would confuse him for an artistically sculpted statue if you walked into the bedroom eventually. The steady breathing of his chest is also something that he was able to do without feeling like an athlete falling down on the track only to quickly get back up on their feet again and resume the race.

I don't know what was more troubling, as the fact that he did it in the snap of a finger most times making me question my own sanity and if I had misread his expressions or the fact that he felt he needed to do it in front of me and that's brought a bundle of other questions running through my mind.
