Chapter 47 - Harper

The first thing I notice when I open my eyes is that it has already dawned, and I assume that due to the intensity of the sun, it must be around noon.

I rush out of bed, go to the bathroom and wash myself in a hurry. I don't want to waste any more time. Sunday will pass quickly and I will have to go home as soon as the sun comes up. I must make the most of every second with Daniel.

As soon as I leave the room, I hear some noises coming from the kitchen, which tells me where my boyfriend is. I smile at the idea of seeing him, with a white apron on and cooking some delicious dish to impress me.

As I get closer, I hear some music. I recognize the song immediately.

“Exit, light.Enter, night.Take my hand.We're off to never-never land,” I sing the song, as I pull one of the chairs around the kitchen island and sit down. Something’s wrong, shut the light. Heavy thoughts tonight and they aren't of Snow White. Dreams of war, Dreams of liars&
