Chapter 33

  My son was ill for a few days so Xavier and I took care of him. I was responsible for taking care of my son, scrubbing the body and feeding him, while Xavier was responsible for playing with him when he was crying.

I was tired but he was even more tired than me, he didn\'t even have time to breathe.

A few days later, the chickenpox on my son\'s body had scabbed, the itching had stopped and so was the crying. We were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Today, my son instantly fell asleep after drinking milk. I was about to take a bath when my stomach rumbled.

I blushed.

Xavier heard this, and said, “I\'ll get you something to eat.”

I looked at the gloomy sky outside. “It\'s already late, nothing’s open now.”

“I said there is, just wait here and eat,” Xavier said as he smiled triumphantly and blinked slyly.

I didn\'t think that Xavier would cook. He was busy working in the kitchen, and soon enough, two bowls
