Chapter 37: Trapped

The sky seemed silent with the after rain ambiance and sunset. Red sunbeams lit through my face and somehow hurt my eyes. I covered my face with lace around my neck. This may help me hide my identity but I guess they’ll recognize my tiger anyway. I could feel myself drifting off to the gusting wind brushing through my face. I missed this feeling. But this isn’t like before that we’re just running for a stroll. We’re running to save some lives. I want to convince myself that I can do something despite being unsure how. They believe that I am the chosen one so I gotta impose that on myself and figure out how I should resolve this chaotic world.

Not far away, I saw a glimpse of shadows coming towards our direction. Namir halted and we hid along the thick bushes behind us. We peeked through the spaces between the leaves to see if they had spotted us. I noticed Namir fidgeting like he’s smelling something and he’s trying to track where it’s coming from.
