Today was going to be a very busy day because Jason's birthday was approaching.

He had refused to fly to Miami because of Jasmine's refusal to join him.

He chosed to stay back because he didn't trust Jayden enough to entrust Jasmine in his care.

Not that he feared that he might hurt her but that his enemies could snatch her from his hands so in that case, his availability mattered.

He believed he had to be around before he could feel that Jasmine was safe.
