Chapter 152: Emergency Call

After I'd carried out an operation on my patient, and successfully delivered her of her little one, a certain amount of money was transferred into my account.

I made a quick transfer of a part of it to Jasmine since I knew I had to get to a few places inside town before heading home and it would be a little late by then.

She called to thank me for the money and urged me to come home early enough so we could set out for the beach with Cynthia in the cool of the evening.

Pleasing Jasmine had always been my priority but what if I wasn't doing enough?

What was I not doing right? There got to be something I must do that would make her love me even more.

All these thoughts kept rushing in and out of my mind and I didn't notice that my break had failed and directly opposite me was an incoming truck containing drums of oil.
