"Mrs. Smith I understand how much you dread my wife, but Lilian is her half-sister I doubt she will want to hurt her." My husband said in my defense.

"But she did, she did hurt my daughter yesterday in your presence and you couldn't do a thing because you don't love my daughter."

"It's enough, Mrs. Smith. Lilian, you wouldn't love to see your sister walk away without having a conversation with you at least for the last time if it's how want it."

Lilian got up stubbornly and took my wrist. After we'd talked briefly, we returned inside with an excited Lilian.

"Thank you, Mr. Jason," She said to my husband. "Sisters forever," She exclaimed while Mrs. Smith lowered her face in shame.

I gave her the cheese and other things. She was excited, it was a reunion for us.
