Verania’s Point of View

"Sorry, Alder, but I have to follow him," I quickly said before running off, not even bothering to listen to Alder's response.

Damn, Verania, you're acting like one of those reckless guys in the movies. Just a moment ago, you kissed a guy, and now you're chasing after another one. Nice!

But the reason I'm chasing after Ares isn't because I'm interested in him or anything like that. I'm following him because he's walking alone, and it could be dangerous if someone from the suspects' side spots him. He needs protection.

My heart raced as I noticed that the path I was taking to catch up to Ares had fewer people, and it was getting darker. I still couldn't find him.

I pulled out my phone and tried calling him, but he wasn't picking up!

Where could that guy have gone? I could feel my heart pounding with anxiety. Why did he have to be so stubborn? I told him to stay inside, and now he's following me too? Ugh, seriously!
