Seventy One

Melody's POV:

"I don't know. It's hard concentrating when there's so much going on." I said glancing at Asher in front me.

He zipped and unzipped his burnt orange jacket which in my opinion, looked really good on him. And maybe that's why I was finding my eyes on him every second.

"Maybe you should focus more on your counselling sessions?" He suggested.

I looked away this time.

"Or maybe you should talk about this?" He looked behind me with a frown. But it disappeared as soon as it came.

The café we were sitting in was very less crowded.

"To the counsellor?"

"I cannot believe you're actually saying that." I finally looked at him.

God, why did he have to look so good?

"What? I'm just trying to help." He said defensively.

I shook my head.

"That doesn't even sound like you're trying. You know what it sounds like?"

He looked at me in confusion.

"Like you're trying to get rid of me." I answered.

He leaned back on his seat. You know what angered me more? That he didn't even try to deny it.
