63 - A Relief

When we woke up the next day, it seemed a bit brighter than yesterday. I mean, yesterday still felt kind of gray and ugly, as if it completely understood the pressure we were under.

I stretched lazily, rolling over to find Jaden’s side of the bed empty and a bit cold. I seemed to wake up fully, sitting up and scratching my head in confusion.

On his side of the bed, a note was being held down by a glass of water. I chuckled, picking up the paper and reading it carefully:

‘You were sleeping so well that I didn’t want to wake you, love. I’ll be in my office waiting for you.’

I giggled, hugging his pillow. His scent was still very present, delicious. My body would always relax when I smelled it - even if it was just his scent.

After that, I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom, ready to take a nice cold shower. I wanted to wake up fully and start my day, finally, in my peaceful life.
