Rose's POV
"Checkmate" I heard Nate say. I didn't expect him to win us so soon. I knew it was a mistake leaving the queen open,but we had no other choice, except we want to concede a move and skip our turn, which would have been an automatic win anyway.
"YESSSSSSS! I WONNNNN!" Jo's scream is enough to deafen everyone. " Oh, sorry" she looked at Nate, who just laughed and corrected herself " WE WONNNNNNNNN!".
Her excitement was contagious and despite being the team that was beaten, I'm happy for her and knowing her, she's going to give them a list of things she wants before the week runs out. And it's going to be a very long list.

ROSE’S POVIf there's a voice I'd never forget, and the exact tone, it's Jessica's voice when she talks to Nate.
