Alaric’s POV
“Hmmm,” Erin grunted when I tugged on the blanket under her.
After freeing the blanket, I laid it out over her body. Then I got inside to join her, letting the warmth of the comforter and our pressed skin warm our bodies. After our intense lovemaking, we had forgotten to get dressed, and the air around the room had become chilly.
I pulled Erin’s head to my chest, and she automatically put an arm around my waist. We stayed like that for a long time.
Erin lifted her head from its comfy position in the center of my chest to murmur.
“Sleep.”
Then she patted my back before resuming her position wrapped inside my arms.
I inhaled her sweet lavender scent and felt my heart constrict.
