Aria’s perspective

“Here, I brought you some cookies.” Neon’s grandma, Lucy said. She dropped the plate of cookies in front of me and sat next to me.

Neon left me with her in the living room. He said he had to check something around the house.

I know he was trying to keep me safe.

“Neon, told me you are human. He called me when he found you, and he won’t stop talking about you. I have never seen him this happy ever since...” She paused and then she held my gaze. “Is mother left.”

“He told me she left him.”

“He did.” Her face held a surprise look, she took my hands to her fragile ones, her lips spread out in a sweet smile.

“Neon is going to keep you safe, and we would think of something, Aria. I promise you that you’ll stay as Neon’s mate.” Her fingers caress my cheeks.
