[Cassian's POV]

My encounter with Nathaniel not only darkened my mood but also left me more confused about Seraphine's whereabouts. Nathaniel is the only lead I have.

He not only serves as a pawn in my plan to uncover the virus spreader in my village but also holds significant influence. That's why I entrusted Seraphine to get close to him and hypnotize him.

I jerked my head up at what I heard. My servant, Gevanny, had been waiting for my return by the golden carriage. What surprised me was the gloomy expression on his face.
