After listening to Curtis' words, Margot was left in a state of shock.

It was almost unbelievable that he harbored suspicions about the child being Royce's. And he even suspected that she had taken medication to induce an abortion?

She refused to accept this apparent injustice. Summoning strength from her frail body, she propped herself up, sat upright, and faced the man standing by the bed.
