It was the next day.

Margot woke up to find that there was no one beside her.

When she sat up, she noticed that Curtis had fallen asleep on the sofa out on the balcony.

All of a sudden, she felt miserable. She didn't think that he really hated her that much.

He was someone who once loved to hug her once he returned home. Notably, when they were going to sleep, he used to cling to her while saying that she smelled good.

But now, he was someone who would rather sleep on a narrow sofa than be in the same bed as her.

Margot felt as if her heart was being stabbed and punched a thousand times.

Quietly, she got off the bed to wash up.

Curtis had always been a light sleeper. He was awoken, perhaps by the sound of running water from the bathroom.

He took a glance at the big bed in front of him and saw that there was no one there.

Then, he took a look at the watch on his wrist. It was half past six.

He, too, got up to go wash up.
