Chapter Thirty-One
◼Nikolas POV◼
“Anything?” I asked as I check the papers.
“No sir, so far nothing,” one of my guards said.
Charles is almost recovered. I told him to rest more, but he said he couldn’t. He has been insisting on working again. But the truth is he just wants to get revenge for what Rose did to him.
I’ve still been trying to contact Liam, but no answer from him so far. So today, I’m heading to Rose's clan to look for him. Cullen will accompany me on behalf of Charles.
It was eleven in the morning, and in an hour, we would leave. I had a bad feeling. I just couldn’t put it. Why?
“Ready?” Cullen asked as he walks into my office.

◼Rose POV◼ The Day Liam Confronted Rose… I snapped. That’s all I can say. Returning to my senses, I see Liam’s limp body on the floor. Blood dripping from my mouth. ◼Rose POV◼ After my small talk with the witches, I went and look for Nikolas. Jordan also agreed with what the witches told me and told me to go. So now here I am, heading to Nikolas’ kingdom. I was nervous for a reason. Before leaving, I left Jordan in charge of getting everything settled in the clan and looking for Liam. I haven’t been able to find him. Where was he? I’ve been racking my mind, but I can’t remember. I felt frustrated because I needed to know what had happened. Then, last night as I was getting ready for bed, I noticed my eyes shifting from color. ◼Rose POV◼ I woke up feeling sore. Lifting my head, I try to look around. I don’t know what time it was, but it was pitch black. It seems I had slept in a lot. Trying to recall what happened, I remember my steamy moment of sex with Nikolas. Blushing, I cover my face with the bedsheets. Then, remembering where I was, I sit up and look to my side.
