"Very well. I see you're ready to join your mate," Mel says eerily calm. “Just get the children out of here first."

"Get the fuck out of here. Now!" she growls, making the children scamper into the packhouse.

Nathaniel orders the rest of the pack to stand down and not attack if Mel touches their Luna. Then, he lets her go and saunters beside me. Both of us stand folding our arms as we watch the event in front of us. Shadow is excited to see our mate in action. I share his excitement, and of course, I'm confident she will win, but also a little nervous about her getting injured again. This is a fight to the death, so neither will hold back.

"Are you okay?" I ask, noticing his arms beginning to heal.
