I turn to Nathaniel. "Are you interested in becoming Alpha of this pack? I would like to create an alliance with you instead of absorbing this territory, as ours is large enough as it is."

His mouth parts in shock. "Wow, you're nothing like Alpha Damon was. I was expecting you to come wipe us out. I mean, it's not like we didn't deserve it."
