Mel's POV

I didn't know it at the time, but that day Jaxon probably saved my life. The look in Dad's eyes promised death and knowing what I know now, he would've loved to try to kill me earlier than when he attempted to do it.

I scream, driving my fist into the side of the house. Feeling some sort of relief, I channel my anger to punch more and more holes into the solid stone. "Fuck you, Dad!" I roar.

How can I even allow myself to feel a single ounce of sadness for him when he never even showed me that he loved me or Moon?

Alpha Roman didn't even know I existed until today.
