Mel's POV

Jaxon allows them to leave, but I can still feel his fury. Jasper is on thin ice now, and if I were him, I wouldn't try him again tonight unless he wants to die.

Placing a hand on his back, I feel the tension leave his body immediately. He leads us to our table and sits down, sliding me onto his lap. The other Alphas sit around us, and I can’t help but feel suffocated by their dark, heavy auras.

Fuck, I need to get out of here.

I can feel Alpha Roman's eyes on me as he talks to Jaxon. Fed up with his relentless staring, I shoot a questioning glance. "Is there a problem, Alpha?" I snap.

He opens his mouth to speak, but hesitates, frowning at me. "Forgive me for staring, I am just confused. I had met your father a handful of times and he never mentioned having a daughter. I always assumed Jaxon was his son until today," he admits quietly.

"Well, I can assure you I'm not mated to my brother,” I grimace and stand up to leave. "Jaxon, I’m going to get some fresh air."
