The moment we stopped at the border where Alpha Kairo and his men waited for us, I had the urge to jump out of my car and haul Randall from wherever he might be. I wanted to let out the anger that had been brewing in my chest since last night. Unfortunately for him, he was the only outlet I could see.

“Austin.” The Alpha called for my attention as I turned off the engine. “Calm down. Don’t attack him here unless he starts something. Wait until we are secluded.”

“I don’t plan to do anything.” That was a lie.

“I can see your face. I’ve been there, but remember, you are a Gamma. We can hold out punishments and inquiries without losing control.”

“Yes, Alpha.” I guess he knew too well. That meant I had to wait. I’d been dying to throw a punch, a kick, or two at him.

Alpha Jace got out of the car, and it was only then that I let out a sigh of frustration. After a while, I followed him as he met Alpha Kairo. Then, we all walked together toward one of the cars from the Dark Wo
