FUTURE GAMMA FEMALE GISELLE I clutched the red flag in my hand tightly as I scoured the quadrangle. We were dismissed for lunch, but it seemed no one wanted to move to the mess hall or go somewhere else as the delegates were still there, huddling and discussing things while I kept looking around, trying to spot my Alpha. I hope he didn’t forget that he promised lunch to me as well. My shoulders slumped when I couldn’t find Auri. Did they leave together? Did the Alpha remember that he was on a lunch date with her and decided to dump me because, of course, I was just one of his warriors and nothing important? On the other hand, Alpha Jace met the Council representative at the border, and he’d be the one to take him here. We initially thought the visit was for Uncle Jake, as the campaign had already ended and the election would take place next week. But it turned out they were here for Lexi. If my female didn’t want to speak with him, I would not push her to meet him and do it myself instead, but Lexi wanted to. We had talked about this before, and even if we had not spoken about this topic lately, I knew her stance remained the same. LEXI. After the camp activity and dinner with the delegates, Austin and I headed home to the packhouse. There were nights we would spend at the barracks, as we would hang out with them without any pressure from the camp, either outside in a big bonfire or in the playroom inside.
