Miracle

Abigail's POV

I just needed to get to the light, I was tired of staying in this darkness.

It was like the ray of light was calling me and beckoning me closer, I followed the light and finally, I felt a strong force consume me.

The distinct scent of antiseptic filled my nostrils, and my mind slowly began to gain consciousness. I struggled to open my eyes, my eyelids were as heavy as lead.

"What's wrong with me? " I thought to myself, afraid because I could not lift my hands even though I was trying so hard to.

"What's that pain" I said in my head, slowly I felt my eyes flutter open, the bright light stung my eyes a little, making me squint.

A blurry white haze was the only thing I could see, and my brain struggled to comprehend what was before me. I tried to focus and to make sense of where I was. Gradually, the image began to sharpen, revealing itself to be a ceiling.
