The governor dinner 2

Hazel has a beautiful smile on her face as they both walk towards the dining table. Alex dragged out a chair for her where she sat and he sat beside her.

“When Gerald told me my boy is now a husband I didn’t believe it but now I understand the drama and why it was worth it. If you don’t mind Alex, please let your wife sit beside me and my wife, she reminds us of our daughter who died at the Gateway plane crash years ago” he said not minding the look from the other guest after Alex came in late.

“Yes dear, come sit close to me.” Mrs Governor said for Hazel to look at Alex who nodded at her.

He stood up giving her his hands which she slowly took as they both walked toward the head of the table where she sat beside the governor's wife.

“Please make sure she eats,” Alex said before he left and went back to his seat.
