CHAPTER 42 - Arrow

Zephyr

The room was dark and I laid still, alert and awake and just like old times, I smelled him. Excess whisky with a mix of mint. An awful combination he always adorned himself with.

I guess old habits never died but certainly old habitors did.

He came close but not too close, I clenched my fist as tight as I gritted my teeth. All the while I laid in wait.

"Oh, look at the mighty Alpha Zephyr, the same that sends shivers down the spines of lots at the sound of his name." He snickered

He leaned in very close now, just as old times I expected it, the torment that would push Ghost over the top, that would vex my spirit and put me on the edge so he could inflict his strokes in my memory.

He would bite through my skin with his whip soaked in wolfsbane, it would land on my skin greedily and leave with a chunk of my flesh hanging on its spikes as the contents sipped through my blood and weakened, no! paralyzed ghost.

"Now you lay bare before me as helpless as you were then. At my mercy."
