ARIEL’S POV

I lay awake in Melvin’s arms but he had slowly drifted into sleep as we cuddled in bed. We lay down in the spooning position with Melvin being the bigger spoon.

It had been a little over an hour since I spoke to Valerie over the phone. If Joharres and his betas were moving at the intensity she suggested then they would have searched almost the entire pack by now without successfully finding me.

This meant Jada’s place would be next since she resides on the outskirts of their pack.
