"Alpha Hayden, it's time for your speech with your Luna," Josiah, my father's brother, said.

Father had long refused to be part of most events unless it was necessary, so his brother had assumed his duty for a long time.

"Come on, everyone is bored of those boring speeches. Who cares if he gives another one of them? The only thing I would be interested in would be the chasing of maidens game," Finn said, nudging me.

I rolled my eyes, then faced Josiah, who was standing akimbo in front of me.

"You know that it is tradition, right? Your father will have my head if we don't do this right."

Before I could tell him that I was going to do it and he should not mind Finn's loud mouth, Ann appeared and started pulling at Josiah's hand.

"Can I borrow Josiah for five minutes?" He asked me.

"We are discussing something important, Ann; let's talk later."

"Now!" She said that and gave him a look.

"Excuse me, Hayden, please be ready with Alex; I will be back."
