Chapter 2.

A man is seen sitting alone in a Café. Staring outwards with a dreamy look, like daydreaming of something. Only his gaze looked with his eyes open, but his mind went nowhere. It was as if the many burdens that were burning in this life made him distrust a single person, even his father, who justified all means to obtain property that for him would never be brought to death.

Being betrayed made him lose confidence, even his confidence. It turns out that what he considers good so far is not necessarily the best for everything that is his priority.

“Sir, want to order more?” a waiter asked him.

He turned his head. “Yes, coffee latte without sugar, yes!” he said mentioning his order.

The waitress nodded and reverted, after which she looked back out the Café window as it happened to be a rainy day from this morning not stopping. Until the day began to fall in the evening drizzle that did not want to subside to wet the earth diligently.

A man about his age can be seen walking casually while putting his hand in the pocket of his pants “in a cool style”, smiling alluringly at each visitor and then sitting right in front of the dreamy person.

“It's like a person without a direction alone, even though they have money and property. So, what is all that for if it can't be enjoyed? Oh, come on, Dude, you have to be able to have fun and enjoy your life,” he addressed at length that was of no benefit to the man at all.

“If it wasn't my best friend, maybe I'd have thrown you off this Café from earlier,” Dave said, replying to Sean's ramblings that didn't benefit him.

Yes, the person who was daydreaming was Dave, and his newly arrived friend was Sean. Sean only arrived from London after a few months there taking care of his business. He is a carefree child. For her, getting married was an obstacle to her perfect life without the distractions of a much-demanded couple. Unlike Dave, who did want to get married first, before betrayal by those closest to him almost ruined his perfect life.

“How is London? And when did you arrive?” asked Dave to Sean, who was playing with his smartphone.

“Yesterday night. I didn't go home to my house or flat or penthouse. I was at Ewan Bar overnight. And London nothing has changed, everything is still the same, let alone the increasing number of sexy women,” she said with a carefree smile.

Dave snorted at that. He memorized how his best friend was when it came to and talked about women. He also used to when living in London like that almost 10 years ago, but after returning to Indonesia and finding the woman he loved 5 years ago, everything changed. But what happened? 3 years of being in a relationship only resulted in betrayal. What did he get from giving a love to the wrong woman? That incident was two years ago, but it still rang in his head. How he was humiliated in front of everyone and his family. Even his father, who from the beginning thought he didn't exist, became more and never was.

“That incident has long passed. Two years is not a short time, you should be able to organize yourself and your heart, Dave,” Sean said as he accepted the coffee latte without sugar.

“I ordered Espresso Americano, with a little sugar, to be sweet but not sweetness because later he will be outdone by your smile,” Sean said trying to seduce the waitress who had been delivering Dave's order, by rolling her eyes to make the waitress blush with shame.

After the waitress left, Dave said, “Don't always spread charm and give hope to others, Sean, let alone that woman. He seems young and innocent. It's not good to treat them like that,” Dave advised her.

“Oh, come on, dude. Enjoy your life. Don't get too restrained and try to create a safety wall for yourself, Dave. After all, the girl does look innocent, but make no mistake, now many look innocent but vicious, in bed,” Sean said with a seductive whistling.

“It's up to you, Sean, if one day karma happens to you, you're the one who bears it. The important thing is that I have already warned you!” said Dave irritably.

“Take it easy, Dave. And soon the woman who was there will come here. I'll get the cellphone number,” Sean said haughtily.

“Just give it a try, and we're betting if you won't get it,” Dave said looking haughty

The waitress was going to deliver Sean's order of Espresso Americano coffee which was actually ordered by Sean for Dave which for him his life was less sweet and colourful, so he ordered Espresso a little sugar.

“This is your order, sir,” the waitress said to Sean.

“Thank you, Beauty. You're so sweet and also beautiful,” Sean said.

“This is Espresso for you, Dave, to make your life a little sweeter, drink it!” he ordered.

“Thank you,” Dave said to the waiter.

The waitress nodded as he bowed and passed, without even having time for Sean to start a conversation with him.

Dave almost laughed because Sean had never been ignored by anyone, except for the waitress, even though he looked blushing in embarrassment, but he didn't respond to Sean's words. Usually, the women would retaliate and try to flirt again. Not with that woman, though. Therefore, Dave is pleased because soon Sean will definitely try to seduce and chase the woman.

“I'm betting you're not going to get it this easily, Sean,” Dave said with a sly smile on his lips.

“I'm sure I'll get it at a time when you're going to get new love later, Dave, we'll break even,” Sean said confidently.

Dave didn't speak, but he took a small sip of Sean's order of Espresso, and it appeared he was enjoying the drink, even though with a little sugar, it was more delicious than nothing from what he had been drinking.

He found a different taste. A new taste that would lead him to a new sheet of his monotonous life. But he would never notice it.

Dave took out two hundred bills and then put them on the table, for payment for their drinks. He was about to pass, but before he paused to look at Sean and said, “We'll see, Sean, now I'll go home first.” Dave passed home. Leaving Sean thinking about how to get the waitress woman's contacts. Dave knew his friend well.

“A new game and a new story are about to begin,” Dave said silently in his heart.
