52: Pain 01.

The lines that were being drawn slowly descended throughout the image. Those lines left perforations as they descended, like the line that appears when something in ceramic begins to crack.

Indeed, the crucified image of Jesus was breaking. But even more so, his face turned dark, and his eyes, those closed eyes, ceased to be closed.

He looked straight ahead, his eyes open without blinking. His head went from being tilted down to being upright. The blood around his face began to drip onto the floor.

That gaze, that dark gaze, completely dark. And a sinister smile formed on his lips.

Everyone looked at it in fear; this was something that had never happened before.

The head of the image began to move frantically until it exploded.

Most people, on their knees, screamed.

The eagle flew overhead in circles, without stopping, until it reached the front of the church. The priest was on the ground, not knowing what to do.
