Should I lose Violet?

“Why are you so suspicious of her?” Alpha Matthew asked me about it.

“Holly?” I asked.

“Who else am I talking about?” Alpha Matthew twirled his eyeballs in a whirl.

“I don’t know, I just felt she was a little suspicious,” I explained.

“Why do you suspect her? Holly is just like Hannah. Before Hannah gave birth to Mali and Mila, she loved children,” Alpha Matthew said.

“I’m not thinking that way, Alpha Matthew. Charlotte always gives each warrior a group camp number. But it seems Holly doesn’t know her own group camp number.”

“Maybe Holly forgot about that. Sometimes we can forget things like that too, right?”

Alpha Matthew stroked my waist.

“We’d better go home now,” he continued.

I sighed and nodded.

As we headed home, Jamien and Charlotte approached us with a sense of urgency.

“Alpha Matthew, we need to talk,” Charlotte said, her voice laced with concern. “There’s been a break-in at the farm three days ago.”

“A break-in?” Alpha Matthew’s eyebrows shot up.
